Support and Recovery Assistant performs diagnostic checks and returns potential solutions for you to try in order to resolve Outlook issues. This should resolve the issue of ‘Outlook keeps crashing’. If not, you can try reinstalling Office 365 or repairing it.

If you can open the original Outlook Data File, you might be able to recover additional items. The Inbox Repair tool creates a backup file with the same name as the original, but with a .bak extension, and saves it in the same folder. There may be items in the backup file that you might be able to recover that the Inbox Repair tool couldn't.

Similar to our earlier suggestion of repairing Office (see #3 Repair Your Microsoft Office above), perform the same steps except choose to Uninstall. Be aware that you may need your product key if you received one. Microsoft has its own tool for automatically scanning and correcting Office when things go awry. You can read about it and then run the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant to see if that helps. It can automatically diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and fix problems with Outlook. An outdated version can also be a cause of why Outlook keeps crashing unexpectedly. The simplest solution often resolves many software-related issues. To import contacts from other email services, export contacts, or clean up duplicate contacts, select an option from the Manage contacts menu.
