Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu, has called up 25 players, including captain Rasheedat Ajibade and top goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, for two international friendly matches against Algerias national womens team. These matches, scheduled for October 26th and 29th at Lagos' Mobolaji Johnson Arena, mark the first time in three years that the Super Falcons will play friendlies on home soil.

The squad features a combination of overseas based stars and homegrown talents, with players from Nigerian clubs like Edo Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, and Bayelsa Queens. Notable inclusions in the squad include Turkey based defender Oluwatosin Demehin and Spain based forward Gift Monday, as well as emerging players from the U20 Falconets.

The upcoming friendlies between the Super Falcons and Algeria are significant for several reasons. Not only are these the first home friendlies in three years, but they also represent Coach Justine Madugu's debut in charge of the team. The blend of experienced players like Rasheedat Ajibade and promising young talent creates an exciting opportunity for Nigeria to showcase the depth of their squad.

We believe that these friendlies are an excellent platform for the Super Falcons to build momentum as they aim to solidify their dominance in African football. With a mix of seasoned international players and new faces, the matches will provide valuable experience and could be a glimpse into the future of Nigerian women's football.
